Podlasie, its churches and architecture - a mix of religions in Poland | IN MY LENS

It has been my first visit to Podlasie, the very east region of Poland, not very popular as a tourist target. Podlasie is somehow what is left of "old Poland" - a beautiful mix of cultures and religions that we used to be before the World War II. Although the rest of Poland is now Catholic in Podlasie you can see dozens of Ortodox churches, some muslim mosques of Polish Muslims living here for 400 years, synagogues and one Orthodox old-belivers' church. This region has been brutally divided when the borders were changed after the war and great part of it is now in Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine but there still is enough here to make the trip fascinating.
