The details of the decoration in the interiors of the "House under the Firs"
Today the last part of my pictures from the House under the Firs. This time you'll see the details of the interior from very close (the interiors are to be seen here).
The bed in the shape of sleigh
Interesting finishing of the curtain rail (looks like the famous Polish cheese oscypek! :-))
The stairs leading to the 1st floor and carved wooden balustrade
Chandelier in the dining room.
The hood in the dining room.
The chair from the dining room with the living room in the background.
Sofa in the living room.
The living room. Portrait of the architect of the house, Stanisław Witkiewicz.
It's almost all about the House under the Firs. Almost - because probably I am going to put some pictures when visiting Zakopane the next time. And almost - as I have a few photos from a film partly set in the house. Stay in touch! :-)
The first post- on history and architecture of the house is to read here, the second - on the interiors - here.
And if you want to know more about the rich culture of Polish highlanders see my post on their fabulous clothings!.
