Retro bathrooms, clawfoot tubs - inspirations from 19th century | THE WEEKLY WANT

This week's WEEKLY WANT is inspired by the previous posts on 19th century bathrooms in Pszczyna, Poland. Can use 19th century inspirations in contemporary bathrooms?Of course!

Beautiful cast iron bath tubs and ambiance of a room than of a bathroom is on trend right now. There are lots of possibilities. On the floor we can use checked tiles, parquet or stone. Walls can be just white, or covered with a wallpaper, or with tiles as well. What's important is not to spoil the whole effect with objects that won't match - every detail matters in such interiors! Copper fixtures will usually be a good choice.

I created a board with different ways of arranging a retro bathroom - there are so many possibilities and it doesn't have to be all black-and-white!

The green flowery wallpaper is Golden Lily Wallpaper, William Morris and Co., 19th century, England, available also today.
