I just came back from Lodz Design Festival, the biggest and the most important design festival in Poland. With my head full of new information and good design with this post I am starting to show the things I saw on my blog.

The first post is about innovative or especially interesting ideas of designers I came across on the festival. Some of these I showed you inI showed you in this post ut believe me it's a completely different thing to see it live!

1. Textile with patterns inspired by Polish urban landscape - window grating.

Great idea. And the textiles are really nice and modern, I'd buy them immediately.

designers: Izabela Sroka, Julia Cybis

2. Textile-printing with algaes

Innovative technique of dying textiles with living material - microalgaes. Textiles are not light-stable and change when exposed to sunlight, for example from green to an intense blue, from a pale pink to a bright red and eventually orange.

3. Stick Insects

“Patyczaki” are sets of elements that can be used for construction of furniture, appliances, installations. They offer the possibility to create an infinite number of structures thanks to their simple and universal design. Three pieces of furniture – table, bookshelf, lamp – are an example of the potential of the project. (source: ŁDF)
