Architecture of post-industrial Lodz, Poland, part 2/2 | IN MY LENS

For many of Poles it's a little absurd but I  really started to like Łódź!, especially its architecture! I watched The Promised Land of Andrzej Wajda for the second time yesterday and I loved the fact that I could recognize a lot of spots I actually visited in Łódź! And the movie itself is a MASTERPIECE, it shows really well what live in Łódź looked like in the end of the XIX century. When I am thinking that it was such a busy place then the city of today starts to seem much more interesting.

In the second part of the post on Łodź I am taking you for a walk to Manufaktura, a commercial center built in the buildings of former factories of Israeli Poznański, a Jew from Łódź. It became is a fantastic spot in the city and is a vibrant, modern place, great for shopping, coffee and walks.

the first part of the article is to read here

Do you see that behind that facade there is no building?

Architectural details like benches, garbage bins etc. are all really pretty
